Bar Code Utility

This helpful utility allows you to preview and display the codes that the Bar Code module will create, and is also helpful as a quick reference for information relating to a specific bar code, such as the type of data supported, valid string lengths, etc. It can even be used to quickly create one-off bar codes inside of a document.

The Bar Code Utility dialog appears below:

In the "Data" text box, enter bar code data for a single bar code. Then choose a bar code type from the "Type" popup menu. Click "Translate" and the Bar Code Module will translate the sample data into the appropriate code, adding any required start/stop characters, as well as calculating and adding any required check and correction digits. The resulting code will display in the "Code" text box, as shown below:

This code can be copied and pasted into a document.
Then when the appropriate bar code font is applied to the pasted text,
a valid bar code will be produced.
