Font Collector™

The Font Collector™ XTensions™ module to QuarkXPress™ provides two useful functions:

1) Collects Fonts - The software gathers up all of the fonts used in a single QuarkXPress document, including those used in EPS graphics. The XTensions module creates a single suitcase file containing all required screen fonts, and then copies the printer (outline) fonts into the same folder.

2) EPS Font Downloading - Font Collector allows you to download and embed font information in EPS files created using QuarkXPress. This means that the font will always be available, whenver that EPS file is used.

Detailed Summary

When the collection or download is finished, you will be presented with a font summary report. The font summary report details information about all of the fonts used in the QuarkXPress document. When you have finished a collection or download, all you need to do is scan the Status column and check for errors. If everthing looks OK, you can be confident that all required fonts have been located. If you see an error code, just click on the font in the list and additional details will be displayed. You may also copy the report to the clipboard, and then paste it back into a QuarkXPress document (or another application) for printing or archiving purposes.

Download Fonts with EPS

When you create EPS graphics by using QuarkXPress's "Save Page as EPS..." feature, Font Collector allows you to include font information in the EPS file. In addition, you can include your own PostScript commands in the downloaded information, and specify in which section of the EPS file you would like for the font information to go.

Font Collector is the missing piece of the Collect for Output puzzle!
