Image Aligner™
The Image Aligner™ XTensions™ module to QuarkXPress™ allows you to perfectly align any two pictures in a QuarkXPress document. This tool can be useful for aligning drop shadows or outlines to existing images.

Typical Application
The sample below shows two picture boxes in a QuarkXPress document. The picture on the right is a drop shadow which must be positioned behind the color picture (note that both boxes are different sizes, and the offsets of the pictures inside of the boxes are different as well). Without Image Aligner, this would be a very tricky task to accomplish by hand.

To use Image Aligner, simply select both boxes and click the Align button on the palette. The boxes will be re-sized and the images inside of the boxes will be aligned perfectly, creating a nice drop shadow effect. The result appears below:

Other Features
The XTension can also be used to automatically group the selected boxes following the alignment, or to change the ordering of the selected boxes in the chain. This is similar to QuarkXPress's Send to Front/Back, but limited to the currently selected group of boxes.
