Picture Placer™

The Picture Placer™ XTensions™ module to QuarkXPress™ provides an alternative to QuarkXPress's Get Picture... feature. This XTensions module lets you import a picture and select from 5 different positioning options. One option allows you to retain all of the parameters associated with the current picture. This feature is great for swapping out FPO images when preparing for service bureau output. It also lets you selectively filter image names at the time you perform the import.

Swap Pictures Quickly

To use the product, click on a picture box and choose Picture Placer... from under the Utilities menu. Navigate to the picture you want, select a positioning option, and click OK. The picture will be imported and positioned according to your selection. If a picture already exists in the box, selecting Keep Box Settings as the positioning mode will instruct the XTension to import the new picture and retain ALL of the parameters associated with the original picture, including scale, skew, rotation, color, etc. What a time saver!

Filter Picture Names

If you are looking for a picture name which begins with a 'b' (for instance), no need to scroll to the bottom of the list – just enter the letter 'b' into the Matching field and the list will display only those image files which begin with that letter. Enter additional letters to narrow the search even more.
