Print Selector™

The Print Selector XTensions™ module to QuarkXPress™ allows you to select and print any portion of a QuarkXPress document page. This unique tool saves both time and material cost by eliminating the need to print complete pages, making it ideal for document design and proofing purposes.

Select Area using Marquee

Users specify the area of a page to print by using the Print Selector tool to drag a marquee around the desired area. This process is similar to creating a QuarkXPress text box. Print Selector will automatically calculate the dimensions of the area and allow the user to adjust them before printing (see sample below):

Print Selection or Save as EPS Graphic

The selected area can be printed using the standard QuarkXPress print dialog, or can be exported as an EPS file as well. Print Selector also lets you change your Page Setup values just by clicking a button.

Works with Font Collector

When used in conjunction with our Font Collector XTensions module (also included in the Utility Bundle), you have the option of downloading and embedding outline font information with the EPS files created using Print Selector. This saves you from having to remember to always include the fonts required to produce an EPS graphic.

Also Supports "Print Box" Feature

Print Selector can be used to print individual boxes as well. Just click once to activate the desired box, and select Print Box... from the QuarkXPress Utilities menu. Only those elements which are contained within the selected box area will be printed.
