All downloads for the Macintosh operating system are either in a .dmg file format, which can be mounted on your desktop as a disk image, or in a self-extracting archive format that has been converted to bin/hex so they can be downloaded to any system. If your Macintosh OS does not support the automatic extraction of bin/hex files, you can use the Stuffit Expander utility, which is available as a free download.
