Q. Fixed data in variable GroupPictures is missing from Fixed Data PostScript jobs.

A. PostScript jobs that use the Fixed Data and Variable Data options do not support variable GroupPictures. If your Postscript job includes variable group pictures, choose the Composite output option. See “How can I speed up PostScript jobs?” FAQ under “Processing Speed” for information regarding optimizing PostScript merge sessions.

Q. Content does not display correctly after merging a GroupPicture into a document.

A. DesignMerge does not support merging GroupPictures into “anchored” picture boxes. Also, confirm that your GroupPictures will fit within the columns in your document. If you are inserting a GroupPicture that is larger than your document, QuarkXPress will not be able to display it.

Q. Can you put a GroupPicture inside of a GroupPicture?

A. Yes.

Q. How do I import my GroupPictures into a container field in FileMaker Pro?

A. A Claris filter needs to be added to the Claris folder in your System folder. Once this filter has been added, you can import a GroupPicture into a container field in FileMaker Pro by selecting a container field and using the Import command from the FileMaker Pro menu. Once imported, the preview saved with the GroupPicture will appear in the field.
